Spanish Water Dog
ORIGIN
The Origins are unknow but evidence of dogs matching the SWD'S description surfaced on the Iberian Peninsula in 1110.
The breed was used in Spain in 1700s
· DESCRIPTION
SWD are medium -sized dogs with Non-shedding. They are intelligent and versatile,that can live 10 to 15 years long.
· COLORS
Curly coats that come in colors of black,brown, beige,white.
The wolly textured coat naturally mats and can form cords.
· GROOMING
The SWD groomomg of the SWD is very easy as they do not require too much grooming especially if you do not show. The coat is of a wool texture and it needs clipping twice a year to improve and strengthen the coat.
· SIZED
Males :
Height from 17 to 19 inch (44 to 50 cm)
Weight from 40 to 50 pounds (18 to 22 kilograms)
Females :
Height from 15 to 18 Inch (40 to 46 cm)
Weight from 30 to 40 pounds (14 to 18 kg)
· TEMPERAMENT
SWD are intelligent and train beautifully excellent watchdog still close to their working place.
